Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required, Associate’s degree or 18 hours plus above preferred
Knowledge of scanning and emailing assignments back to the instructor within 1 full school day if possible
Experience working with high school students preferred
Ability to multi-task and exceptional problem solving skills
Ability to communicate with the instructor regarding any student academic or social/emotional concerns
Ability to encourage students to seek help related to a course directly from instructor
Ability to take inventory at the beginning and end of each semester, documenting materials that are loaned/returned to students for home use
Ability to monitor student academic and social interactions, manage the classroom climate in a growth promoting way, and notify the appropriate school and/or program personnel as appropriate. Secure all test documents
Ability to notify instructor of any concerns especially regarding changes in the school calendar/schedule and student well-being
Ability to access CANVAS at the start of and end of each school day
Ability to respond to questions/concerns from teachers, administrators, students, parents within 24 hours if possible. Even if the answer is not readily available, acknowledge receipt and status.
Willingness to monitor CANVAS daily for documents and assignments to be printed. In the event of the facilitator’s absence, the information should be emailed to the site administrator responsible for Accelerate.
Willingness to participate in CANVAS training as provided by the SC GSSM Accelerate program
Willingness to become familiar with program technology and materials at the start of each semester
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Support 5
Length of Contract: 185 days/7 hours per day
Starting Date: 2024-2025 School Year
College transcripts, three references, and a copy of appropriate credentials should also be submitted during the application process.
