JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

The job of the Maintenance Technician is done for the purpose/s of maintaining facilities for students,staff and public in safe operating condition; maintaining a preventive maintenance program and to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns.

Reports to:   Director of Facilities

Working Conditions:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following

physical demands: significant lifting (30 lbs constantly, 50+ pounds regularly, must be able to

lift and/or carry weights of up to 100 pounds), carrying, pushing, and pulling; significant

climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; and significant

fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% walking, and 50% standing. The job is

performed with extreme temperatures and some hazardous conditions.

 

WORK SCHEDULE/TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 240 Days per year. Salary based on Maintenance pay scale approved by Board of Trustees.
