Requirements and Description

 

The role serves as the Program Coordinator and Primary Instructor for the Clinical Studies/Nurse Aide course and clinical experience. Minimally, must be a licensed RN and possess a minimum of two (2) years RN nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in the provision of long-term care nursing services as required by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Long Term Living. Must be able to obtain American Heart Association Provider CPR (Adult & Child) certification and South Carolina Department of Education Health Science teacher certification. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.

This is the RN responsible for the operation and oversight of the program in conjunction with the dual credit program and clinical experiences at long-term care facilities. Work experience may include, but is not limited to, employment in a nursing assistant education program or employment in or supervision of nursing students in a nursing facility or unit, geriatrics department (excluding geriatric psychiatry), long-term acute care hospital, home care, hospice care or other long term care setting.

Length of Contract:     190 days

    

Starting Date:          2024-2025 School Year
