Minimum Qualifications:

SC certification in MD, EMD, TMD or Multi-Categorical required with a strong GPA in relevant course work

Experience with teaching special education students in a self-contained setting preferred

Enthusiasm for teaching students with disabilities

Exceptional knowledge of the needs of special education middle school students

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional strategies and student evaluation techniques

Skill in interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general public

Outstanding references from current and former supervisors

Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report

 

Length of Contract:   190 days

 

Starting Date:        2024-2025 School Year

 

College transcripts, three references, and a copy of appropriate credentials should also be submitted during the application process.
