Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-year college degree in any area, or 60 hours of college work, or passing score on the Paraprofessional exam required
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Experience in working with children with special needs or ABA practices preferred
Experience with working students on the autism spectrum
Experience working with appropriate age students preferred
Cooperative, able to work with supervising teachers and other staff members
Skill in interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general public
Ability to fulfill the dexterity and physical requirements of the work, and effectively attend to special needs of exceptional children
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Support 3
Length of Contract: 185 days/7.5
Starting Date: 2024-2025 school year
