Minimum Qualifications: 

SC certification in Special Education required with a strong GPA in relevant course work
Experience with teaching students on the autism spectrum 

Understanding of sensory processing needs 

Familiar with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis 

Knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices for individuals with ASD 

Ability to fulfill the dexterity and physical requirements of the work, and effectively attend to special needs of exceptional children 

Exceptional knowledge of developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and teaching social skills 

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 

Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques 

Skilled in interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff, and the mental health provider 

Willingness to work with all staff members in promoting school wide programs 

Outstanding references from current and former supervisors 

Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report 

 

Salary Range:        Teacher Salary Schedule

 

Length of Contract:     190 days

    

Starting Date:          2024-2025 School Year
