Minimum Qualifications:
SC certification in Special Education (ED) or Multi-categorical required with a strong GPA in relevant course work
Experience with teaching students with emotional/behavioral needs
Enthusiasm for teaching disabled students
Ability to fulfill the dexterity and physical requirements of the work, and effectively attend to the special needs of exceptional children
Exceptional knowledge of developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and teaching social skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques
Skill interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the mental health provider
Willingness to work with all staff members in promoting school wide programs
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 190 days
Starting Date: 2024-2025 School Year
